English Pro Skrabel is a word game software based on popular Scrabble games, as well as being a language learning tool. It challenges a player's creativity to produce words out of an arbitrary selection of letters. At the same time, through the incorporation of translation features the game can aid players wishing to develop their English vocabulary. The word list, which includes the grammatical forms of words, is taken from Kamus Inggeris-Melayu Dewan, the English-Malay dictionary published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.

There are more than 30 000 words in all! Players may also improve pronunciation by listening to the sound of the word produced by the computer. A player may compete against another player or, because of the availability of the AI engine, decide to pit her skills against the computer's, to see who can attain the higher score : Man / Woman versus Machine! To make things more exciting a time-limit may be imposed on the length of the game and the length of each turn.

In addition, players will be eager to beat the highest scores recorded from previous games! Players are allocated letter tiles each with a value. The virtual screen board has a number of "premium" squares which can double or triple a letter or word value. Play consists of forming a pattern of connecting words looking rather like a cross-word, on the virtual board. The skill, then, is to produce words which combine high value letters, and place them in the optimum location to achieve the highest score possible.
